Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to find out the extent of equity in the distribution of public primary schools and the provision of facilities in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. Among the findings are that wards 2 and 6 do not have any public primary school. Library and first aid facilities and toilets are in short supply in the schools. It was therefore concluded that there is inequity in the provision of public primary schools and school facilities in the local government area. It was recommended that the lopsidedness in the school distribution pattern in the state should be reversed by downplaying it to the barest level of politicization of school distribution and location.
